Berlin's Brandenburg Gate lit up for Israel

Commemorations for the victims of the October 7 attacks in Israel are being held around the world. In Berlin, people have been holding a vigil at the Brandenburg Gate in the center of the German capital, with empty chairs for the people who were killed two years ago by the militant Hamas group.

Two years after the October 7 Hamas attack in Israel, Berlin honors the victims with a powerful memorial near the Brandenburg Gate where photos of those killed are on display.

Also in Berlin, an art installation recreates the Nova music festival where hundreds died. Organizer Ofir Amir and Israeli Ambassador to Germany, Ron Prosor, speak of lasting trauma and the need to remember.
