Electric mobility: from Ethiopia to the premium EV market

Electric buses and taxis are changing how people get around in Addis Ababa. Lower running costs, quieter streets and fewer emissions make electric mobility attractive for drivers, passengers and city planners alike. But the boom also exposes challenges: charging infrastructure is still limited, the power grid is under pressure, and long term energy policy will decide how sustainable the shift really is.
