How a 'bee run' is creating a buzz in Uganda

In Uganda's capital, Kampala, volunteers have staged a run to highlight the importance of pollinators, likes bees and butterflies, but also other insects, in urban spaces. The city — like many across the world — has seen a drop in insect numbers in recent years. BeVisioneer fellow Hannington Sserwanga is one of the environmentalists behind the 5K race. The event is part of a bigger environment initiative to take measures on the ground to improve biodiversity in the capital and get the city buzzing with enthusiasm for these useful creatures.
