Josh Axelrod
Josh Axelrod is a reporter who covers extremism, technology, politics and climate change. He joined DW's fact-checking team in 2025. His work has appeared in NPR, CNN, Bloomberg, Die Zeit and more.
He studied English, Political Economy and Jewish Studies at Tulane University in New Orleans. Originally from the U.S., Josh came to Germany as a Fulbright fellow to investigate far-right networks on Telegram and has been based in Berlin since.
