The new BMW M5 Touring combines supercar performance with everyday practicality. Powered by a plug-in hybrid drivetrain that pairs a 4.4-liter V8 engine with an electric motor, it delivers 727 horsepower, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and can reach up to 305 km/h with the optional M Driver’s Package. In this review, REV takes a closer look at the high-performance wagon’s driving dynamics, hybrid technology, interior design and everyday usability. While the M5 Touring impresses with speed, sound and comfort, concerns remain about its complex infotainment system, high fuel consumption, hefty weight and starting price of more than €146,000.
