Revised Ukraine peace plan 'workable' according to Kyiv, US

Russia and Ukraine traded heavy drone and missile strikes overnight as talks on a US-led peace plan continue. A revised proposal backed by Kyiv and its European allies drew cautious optimism from the White House.

Russia's war on Ukraine raged on for another night with at least 6 Kyiv residents were killed in overnight drone strikes.

Ukraine retaliated with attacks on a Russian oil terminal and Black Sea port.

Meanwhile, with European support, Kyiv pushed back against a US-led peace proposal that appeared to favor Russian demands.

The White House said the remaining obstacles to ending the war are "not insurmountable."
