The city cleaning service in Rio de Janeiro keeps a metropolis of millions clean — despite huge Carnival crowds and tons of trash.

The employees of Comlurb turn their everyday tasks into a joyful event, for themselves and others. Using dance, music and a good helping of humor, they also raise environmental awareness and talk with passersby about individual responsibility when it comes to waste disposal in Brazil.

Jorge Rocha, Douglas Correa, and their colleagues show how demanding their everyday work is and why they are considered everyday heroes.
