Reza Pahlavi has accused Europe of standing by while the regime in Iran uses violence to repress the Iranian people. Visiting Berlin, he was showered with praise by supporters and rejected by counter-demonstrators.

Reza Pahlavi, son of Iran’s last shah, has traveled to Berlin urging Germany to end all cooperation with Iran's Islamic Republic.

Citing a violent crackdown on protests, ongoing executions and Iran's nuclear and missile programs, Pahlavi said decades of dialogue have failed.

While some German lawmakers met with him privately, the government refused official talks, insisting Tehran remains its sole counterpart — a stance criticized by Iranian activists and some lawmakers.
