Taiwan minister to DW: 'You cannot be naive' with China

The following is an excerpt from the interview.

Francois Wu, Taiwan's deputy foreign minister: "The freedom, the democracy of Taiwan also is very important. We hope that Taiwan can continue to contribute in a positive way to the international community. So for me, we still have a lot of possibility to manage the conflict, the situation, with a diplomatic way, and not to let the war occur. If war occurs, if China uses a military way to conquer Taiwan, for me, no one, no part will be the winner. So I hope that Germany can understand the situation."
