Trade reset: How Africa can win after AGOA

With the expiry of the US trade pact known as the Africa Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA), which Africa enjoyed for 25 years, African economies are rethinking their trade playbook. Thousands of jobs across Africa are now at risk after the African Growth and Opportunity Act, better known as AGOA, expired on September 30. The trade pact gave African exporters duty-free access to the USmarket for nearly 25 years. But with no extension in sight, Trump's tariffs are back — and businesses are bracing for impact. What does this mean for African workers, and is the continent ready for life after AGOA?
