Cote d'Ivoire is the world's top cocoa producer. But most beans are shipped abroad for processing. Two brothers, Fousseni and Alahassane Diakite, want to change that — and make chocolate more affordable at home.

Cote d'Ivoire's cocoa industry is getting a local boost: Twin brothers Fousseni and Alahassane Diakite have opened a factory aiming to process up to 80,000 tons of cocoa annually, challenging global giants.

While the country produces most of the world's cocoa, only 40% is processed locally. Their affordable chocolate bars and cocoa products promote local consumption, create jobs, and keep profits at home.
