European leaders met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner in Berlin to push for an end to Russia's war in Ukraine. Talks were tense but productive, with Washington proposing security guarantees in exchange for Kyiv dropping NATO ambitions. Zelenskyy rejected ceding eastern territories, while German Chancellor Friedrich Merz urged Moscow to accept a joint peace plan. US officials say that 90% of issues are resolved, but no date has been set for talks with Russia yet.
