Director Ryan Coogler's blues‑infused vampire epic "Sinners" has dominated the Academy Award nominations with a record‑breaking 16 Oscar nods, including the categories best picture, director and screenplay, plus a lead‑actor nomination for Michael B. Jordan.

Paul Thomas Anderson's "One Battle After Another" followed with 13 nominations, while Norway's "Sentimental Value" highlighted the growing presence of non‑English films.

The 98th Oscars are set to take place on March 15, 2026 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
